Biography
West German diver Werner Sobek participated in both the platform and springboard events at the 1952 Helsinki Olympics. He was eliminated in both events in the semi-finals and was placed 20th and 12th respectively. At the 1950 European Championships he won the springboard bronze and platform silver medal. He was the German springboard champion in 1953 and 1954.
