Clarita Hunsberger was an alternate to the 1924 Olympic team, but made the team for the 1928 Olympics. She later became a teacher and administrator in Los Angeles schools, and retired as Vice-Principal of the Burroughs Junior High School in 1963. She then served as a docent at the Los Angeles County Museum of Art until 1982. During their retirements, she and her husband became avid travelers and visited all seven continents.
