Whitney Metzler was a medley swimmer who made the final of the 400 IM at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. She swam for the North Baltimore Aquatic Club and the University of Florida. Her career was shortened by a shoulder injury, but she graduated from Florida in 1999.
Metzler later attended the Pace University School of Law in White Plains, New York. She initially worked as an attorney with the Greenberg Traurig firm from 2005-08, and later became an attorney for the Pennsylvania House of Representatives. Metzler was inducted into the Maryland Swimming Hall of Fame in 2001.
