Keala O’Sullivan won the 1965 AAU Junior title on the 1-metre springboard. In 1968 she won the AAU title in the 1-metre springboard indoors and second on the 3-metre outdoors. O’Sullivan competed for the Punahou Swim Club in Hawai’i. She continued to compete through 1972 but retired after not making the Olympic team for München. O’Sullivan returned to her native Hawai’i where, as Keala Watson, she became a diving coach at Iolani High School.
