Patti Bright, a member of the U.S. Volleyball Hall of Fame, played on two Olympic volleyball teams, like her husband Mike. At the 1963 Pan American Games she won silver with the U.S. team. After competing in the then nascent sport of beach volleyball, she had a career as a school and college volleyball coach. Bright graduated from Southern Cal. She coached at Los Angeles City College, Pepperdine University, and several LA-area high schools, where she also taught school.
