Biography

Debbie Green played volleyball at USC where she led them to AIAW titles in 1977 and 1978, and to a 38-0 record in 1977, the first perfect mark in NCAA women’s volleyball. Green is usually considered the greatest setter in US volleyball history. Green was on the 1980 US Olympic team that could not compete because of the boycott. She later played professional volleyball with the Los Angeles Starlites of Major League Volleyball. Green has coached volleyball at Cal State Long Beach for over 20 years. She is a member of the US Volleyball Association Hall of Fame and the Orange County Sports Hall of Fame.
