With perhaps the worst name ever for a swimmer or water polo player, Dan Drown still competed for the US in water polo at the 1964 Olympics. During the summers in high school and college at UCLA, Drown worked as a Los Angeles County lifeguard. After the Olympics he attended law school and then worked as a lawyer in Los Angeles. As a hobby, Drown also coached water polo at Santa Barbara High School.
