Biography
Doug Kern sailed his Soling class boat to a silver medal at the 1992 Barcelona Olympics. Kern was a Texas native who sailed for the Austin Yacht Club and attended the University of Texas. He remained in Austin, where he later worked in marketing for several companies, eventually becoming vice-president of product marketing for the Dachis Group.
