Michael, son of Herlinde Beutlhauser and Peter Luschan, was an Austrian sailor participating in the 1992 Barcelona Summer Olympics. He sailed the three-men keelboat (soling) class with Georg Stadler and Stefan Lindner. The trio finished 19th. At the European Championships that same year, they won the silver medal, thus qualifying for the Barcelona Games. Luschan sailed with UYC Wolfgangsee and won several national titles.
