Peter Luschan was an Austrian sailor who participated in the 1972 München Olympics, when the sailing events were held in Kiel. He partnered Manfred Stelzl in the two-person keelboat star class and they finished eleventh. Luschan was a multiple national champion in three different boat classes and a bronze medallist at the Yngling World Championships.
Luschan later married alpine skier Herlinde Beutlhauser. Their son Michael Luschan participated at Barcelona Olympics in 1992 as a sailor. His twin granddaughters Anna (sailor) and Ina (cross-country skier) also became nationally successful sportspeople.
