Austrian sailor Markus Piso participated in the 1992 Barcelona Olympics, partnering Christian Binder in the two-person dinghy (470) class. The pair finished 26th. At European Championships, Piso placed fourth on one occasion and had a 12th place finish in the Worlds. He did, however, win six national titles.
Piso later studied law and was employed by a real estate company and expanded their portfolio from 800 to 2,500 properties. He later became event and building manager of the Salzburg Festival Halls.
