Biography

Along with Charles Reynolds, London chemist David Tucker was a crew member on Robin Judah´s boat Salamander II in the Dragon class at the 1968 Olympics. Since the formation of the crew, they had finished fifth in the European championships, sixth in the worlds, and won the 1967 British Dragon Championship. They were optimistic going into the Olympics and finished fifth after the opening race, but fell away to finish 14th overall. Tucker started sailing in 1961 and became a member of the Royal Corinthian Club at Burnham, and in the winter months sailed with the Wembley Sailing Club at the Welsh Harp reservoir in North-West London.
