Crewing for Britton Chance on Complex ll, Ed White was partnered by his twin brother, Sumner, and they became the first twin brothers to win gold medals for the U.S. at Olympic. Ed White was a Harvard graduate (class of ’52), who, after graduation, initially did investigative work for the Army. He later went into sales with a large commercial printing firm in New York.
