Johann Langmayr was eliminated in the semifinals of the 110 metre hurdles at the 1934 European Championships. He was a four-time Austrian champion in the 110 m hurdles (1931, 1932, 1934, 1939). Langmayr was eliminated in the heats at the 1936 Berlin Olympics. During World War II, he went missing in action in 1943 near Stalingrad (now Volgograd).
