Biography

Diane Foster took up track and field athletics in the early 1940s and won the Canadian Olympic trials for the 200 metres with a time of 26.0 seconds, which led to her being selected to represent her nation at the 1948 Summer Games. Her result of 26.1 in London was not enough to get her out of the heats in the 200 m, but she also ran a leg in the 4x100 metre relay and won a bronze medal alongside Pat Jones, Nancy MacKay, and Viola Myers. She retired from active competition shortly after the Games.

Personal Bests: 100 – 12.5 (1948); 200 – 25.5 (1948).
