Biography

Basketball player Ingo Mendel represented West Germany at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics, finishing eighth. In total, he won 55 international caps. Domestically, he played with SSV Hagen (until 1981), and then with ASC Göttingen (1983), and 1. FC Bamberg (from 1984). He won the national title with Göttingen in 1983, and the German cup with Bamberg in 1984 and 1985.
