Biography

Danish track and field athlete Karl Jensen specialised in the discus and hammer throws. From 1923 to 1927 Jensen won five consecutive national titles in the discus, including setting a Danish record in 1924. At the 1924 Paris Olympics he finished in 11th place in the hammer throw and 13th place in the discus. Jensen was only 29-years-old when he died during the summer of 1928 in Montpellier, France, following a bout of food poisoning.
