Biography

Spanish track and field athlete Fernando Muñagorri competed in sprint races during the 1920s. Muñagorri finished in second place in the 100 metres at the 1927 Spanish Athletics Championship in a time of 11.0 seconds. The time was not officially accepted, however, due to the wind conditions. The following year he ran in the 100 metres at the 1928 Amsterdam Olympics but finished in last place in his heat. He was also part of the Spanish quartet that ran in the 4 × 100 metres relay in Amsterdam. Muñagorri ran his best times in 1928, with 11.3 seconds in the 100 metres and 23.7 seconds in the 200 metres.

Personal Best: 100 – 11.3 (1928).
