Finnish sprinter Hirsch Drisin was the national champion in the 200 metres in 1920 and 1922. Drisin was only 17 years and 9 months old when he won his first title, the youngest Finnish champion in men’s athletics until Kasperi Vehmaa became the national champion in the long jump in 2021, aged 16 years and 6 months. Drisin was part of the Finnish quartet that set records in both the 4 × 100 metres and 4 × 400 metres relay races in 1923 in Göteborg. The following year he ran in the 4 × 400 metres relay at the 1924 Paris Olympics where he suffered an injury that later ruled him out of the 4 × 100 metres relay and the 200 metres. Drisin later moved to Australia where he lived in Adelaide.
Personal Best: 400 – 50.5 (1923).
