In 1955, Konstantin Lissenko made his mark on the French track athletics scene by equaling the national record in the 100 metres of 10.5 seconds. The following year he was selected to represent France at the 1956 Melbourne Olympics, where he was eliminated in the quarter-finals of the 200 metres and the semi-finals of the 4x100 metres relay, alongside René Bonino, Jocelyn Delecour, and Alain David. He was a four-time national champion in the relay and twice improved the French record from 1956 through 1957. He was selected as a reserve with the relay at the 1960 Rome Games, but did not compete. In the 1960s, he played rugby with Racing Club de France.
