A three-time Olympian in the high hurdles, Edmond Routnitska competed in 23 internationals for France. He set eight French records for the 110 metre hurdles, but was never able to win a national title. He also competed at the 1954 European Championships but did not get past the heats. Routnitska was the son of a famous perfumer who had the same first name.
