Waldemar Rial

Waldemar Rial represented the Uruguayan national basketball team throughout the 1960s. In 1960 Rial was selected as part of the squad that competed at the Roma Olympics, playing in eight matches and scoring 24 points. Four years later he returned to the Olympics for the Tokyo Games, this time playing in eight matches and amassing 34 points. Domestically Rial played for Club Atlético Goes in Montevideo, with him later serving as the club’s President on two occasions.
