Biography

Kenny Rollins was a smooth play-making guard who began his collegiate career at the University of Kentucky before World War II. War intervened, however, and Rollins played one year with the famed Great Lakes Training Station outfit after joining the service. After the war, he returned to Kentucky and played on the NCAA champions of 1947 and 1948, serving as captain both years. Unlike the other Kentucky stars, he did not play for the Indianapolis Olympians, but instead joined the Chicago Stags. He played two years for them before joining the Boston Celtics for a few final years in the NBA. His brother, Phil Rollins, also played in the NBA from 1958-61.
