Sprinter Erna Steinberg finished fourth in the 100 at the 1928 Amsterdam Olympic Games. At 17-years-old she was among the youngest entrants. Steinberg participated in only two international matches, and won two German Championships, in 1928 in the 100 and 1934 with the sprint relay. She also competed in the high jump and long jump. Steinberg helped set two relay world records, in the 4x200 and the 10x100, both in 1929.
