Biography

At the 1926 Central American and Caribbean Games sprinter Mario Gómez won gold in the 200 metres and as part of the Mexican quartet in the 4×100 metres relay. Gómez then ran in the 100 and 200 metres at the 1928 Amsterdam Olympics, reaching the semi-finals in the latter. He had further success at the Central American and Caribbean Games with silver in the 4×100 metres relay and bronze in the 200 metres at the 1930 edition in La Habana, Cuba.

Personal Bests: 100 – 10.8 (1929); 200 – 22.0 (1929).
