Stanley Weston and his younger brother Harry, both played for Great Britain in the 1948 basketball competition. Stanley played in four of Britain’s seven matches, and the siblings only played alongside each other once, in their only win of the competition, over Ireland, in the final classification match. Unlike his brother, Stanley played for England at the 1946 European Championship in Geneva, when he played in all four of England’s matches, scoring six points.
