Biography

Johan Johnsen was a track sprinter who represented IK Tjalve in Oslo. In 1919 Johnsen ran a personal best time of 10.7 seconds for the 100 metres, earning himself a place on the Olympic team. At the 1920 Antwerpen Games he finished fourth in his heat and was eliminated from the competition. Johnsen was only 34 years old when he died on his birthday in 1927.
