Biography
Dunn started running as a teenager, and made the Panamanian national team at age 15. Her breakthrough came in 1959, when she won a gold medal with the 4×100 metres relay team (with Marcela Daniel, Silvia Hunte, and Jean Holmes-Mitchell) at the Central American and Carribean Games. She was eliminated in the heats of Olympic competition in 1960, but her performances earned her a spot at Tennessee State University. Dunn gained a Pan American medal in 1963, finishing third in the 200 metres, and also finished fourth in the 80 metres hurdles. Following the 1964 Olympics, she concentrated on her accounting career, first in Illinois and then around Washington, D.C.
