South African track and field athlete Pat Dannaher specialised as a sprinter. Dannaher ran in both the 100 and 200 metres at the 1936 Berlin Olympics, reaching the quarter-finals in the former. Along with Eric Grimbeek, Tom Lavery, and Marthinus Theunissen, he was also part of the quartet that ran in the 4 × 100 metres relay in Berlin.
