Together with his brother Richard Schwarz, Russian track and field athlete Alfred Schwarz participated in the 1912 Stockholm Summer Games. Both siblings were of Prussian origin. Alfred started in the standing high jump event, reaching 1.40 metres but failing to qualify for the final six.
In 1917 Schwarz graduated from the All-Russian Academy of Arts in Petrograd as an architect. He then lived and worked in Kazakhstan for several years until his death. His date and place of death are still unknown.
