Biography

Ratjai Sripet was the leading Thai female sprinter for over a decade. She started her international career as a member of the Thai gold winning 4×400 m team at the 1983 Asian Championship, her only appearance in the long relay. She later concentrated on the two shortest distances, winning silver in 100 m at the Asian Championships 1985 and bronze in the same distance at the Asian Games the next year. As a member of the 4×100 m relay team, she won one gold, one silver and two bronze medals in Asian Games or Championships. She ran the relay in two Olympic Games, 1984 and 1992, in Barcelona she also competed at the 100 m, not being able to adwance from her heat. She ended her career as a member of the Thai 4×100 m team in the World Championship 1993 at the age of 32.

Personal Best: 100 – 11.51 (1986).
