Her best placing in an AAU individual event was second in the 100 y in 1929 but Jessie Cross was on the winning relay team that year and again in 1930 when the Milrose AA set a new world record of 49.4. In Amsterdam she ran the second leg on the relay team that was soundly beaten by the Canadians, who included three finalists from the individual 100 m on their team.
