Connie Teaberry

Connie Teaberry was a high jumper who competed at the 1996 Atlanta Olympics. Teaberry attended Kansas State University, finishing 4th, 7th, and 5th, respectively, at the 1990-92 NCAA Meet. In 1990-92 she was Big Eight Champion in the high jump. She was runner-up twice at the USA Nationals, in 1993 and 1996, also finishing third in 1995, and fourth in 1994. Teaberry competed at the 1993 and 1995 World Championships, and the 1993 World University Games.

Teaberry attended Kansas State with plans to become a nurse, but starting coaching as a graduate assistant at the University of Kentucky while training for the 1996 Olympics. She ended up as an assistant coach at the University of Toledo (1995-98), Arizona State University (1998-99), and Ohio University (2004), before becoming head women’s coach at Northern Illinois University in 2004. In 2010 Teaberry was named director of track & field for the Huskies.
