A stalwart of the New York AC team for many years, Ben Adams never won an AAU title because his older brother monopolized them at that time. His second place in the standing high jump was a notable moment in Olympic history because this is the only time that brothers have finished 1-2 in a track and field event.
Ben Adams also competed in 1912 Olympic Baseball demonstration event.
Personal Bests: SHJ – 5-3 (1.60) (1912); SLJ – 10-9¼ (3.28) (1912).
