Amos Mansdorf

Amos Mansdorf was an Israeli tennis player who played professionally from 1983 to 1994. Mansdorf achieved a career-best singles ranking of #18 in the world in November 1987, and a doubles ranking of #67 in the world in May 1986. He was part of Israel’s Davis Cup team from 1984 to 1994.

Mansdorf won his first ATP singles title in November 1986 at the South African Open in Johannesburg with victory against American Matt Anger. He won five more singles titles with his last one coming in July 1993 at the Washington Open when he beat Todd Martin. Mansdorf’s best Grand Slam performance came at the 1992 Australian Open when he reached the singles quarter-finals.

Mansdorf competed at the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics and the 1988 Seoul Olympics. At the 1984 Games he lost in the first round to Carlos Di Laura when tennis was a demonstration sport. At the Seoul Olympics he reached the third round in the singles and the second round in the doubles.
