When Diana Clifton-Peach first enjoyed a podium finish at the British Figure Skating Championships in 1958, she finished third behind the winner Dianne Peach, no relation.
Coached by the legendary Gladys Hogg, Clifton-Peach won the 1958 Southern Counties title. She finished second in the national championships the following year before winning the first of two titles in 1961. She won it again in 1963 and came close to making it three-in-a-row had it not been for an injury to her knee in training the day before the start of the 1962 Championship. Despite the injury, she led after the compulsory figures but lost by 0.6 of a point to Streatham team-mate Jacqueline Harbord who, like Clifton-Peach, was just 17-years-of-age at the time.
Clifton-Peach finished 18th at the 1964 Winter Olympics and appeared in two world championships (1963 and 1965), finishing 11th both times. She also appeared in seven editions of the European championships between 1959-66, with a fifth place finish in 1962 and 1966 her best results. Clifton-Peach was selected for the 1967 championship just two months after giving birth to her daughter but subsequently withdrew.
After finishing her competitive career, Clifton-Peach became a judge. She officiated at international events, including the 1976 European Championships at Geneva when John Curry won the men´s singles title.
