West German alpine skier Regine Mösenlechner participated in four consecutive Olympic Winter Games, from 1980-88 with the West German team and in 1992 with the re-unified German team. In 1988 Mösenlechner just missed the podium, placing an unfortunate fourth in the Super G event as her best Olympic result. One year earlier she won her only international medal with a bronze in the downhill at Worlds.
In her youth Mösenlechner had earned a gold medal at the 1979 Youth Worlds in the slalom event. Her only success in a World Cup race came in 1989, winning the downhill race at Vail in the USA. She married her teammate Armin Bittner after her retirement and later opened a cosmetic studio at Ruhpolding.
