Tina Noyes won the 1963 US Junior title for women, and was later forced to move up to the US senior team, because of the airplane disaster that killed the entire US team travelling to the 1961 World Championships. Noyes was on the podium at the US Championships for six consecutive years, from 1964-69, placing third in 1965 and 1969, and second the other four years. She competed at five World Championships, with a best finish of sixth in 1968. Noyes was also bronze medalist at the 1967 North American Championships. She later attended New York University (NYU), graduating in 1971, and skating professionally with the Ice Capades through the early 1970s. She has since worked as a skating coach and and an agent for a number of athletes, with the Noyes Agency, in addition to writing several books and magazine articles on figure skating.
