Bice Vanzetta received her first top result in January 1986 placing 14th in the 20 km free in Nové Město and obtained her best individual result, an eighth place in the 10 km free at Cogne in January 1993. Her best placement in the overall World Cup was 24th in 1993. During her career she participated in three Winter Olympics, winning two bronze medals, both in relays. Vanzetta also took part in three World Championships, winning two medals, both relay silvers, in 1991 and 1993. At the individual level, her best result was 12th at the 1991 World Championships in Val di Fiemme in the 5 km classical. All her World relay medals were won with teammates Manuela Di Centa, Gabriella Paruzzi and Stefania Belmondo with Vanzetta mostly running the first leg. Between 1981-94 she had 15 podium places at Italian Championships but won only one title, over 20 km in 1987. Vanzetta retired after the 1993-94 season. She is the younger sister of Giorgio Vanzetta, Olympian and a four-time medalist.
