Biography

Born in Coniston, California in 1936, Rino Alberton later moved to Italy where he played ice hockey for HC Milano Inter. Alberton took part in a couple of seasons during the mid-1950s, helping the team to finish second in the 1956–57 Italian championship. In 1956 he represented the Italian national team at the Cortina d’Ampezzo Olympics, playing in five matches and scoring the final goal in their 5–2 win against Poland in the consolation round. Alberton later returned to North America where he lived on the Canadian side of the Niagara Falls in Ontario.
