Reidar Berg was a member of one of the four-man bobsleigh teams competing in the 1948 games. He belonged to the so called Oslo team (Norway 1) that surprised with a fifth place finish, only one second behind the bronze medal. Berg became later a successful businessman in Oslo, running his own engineering firm.
