Billy Christian scored two decisive goals against the Soviet Union in the 1960 Olympics, which enabled the United States to win that game. Christian never played collegiately instead starring for the local amateur team, the Warroad Lakers. As did his older brother, Roger, he played on two Olympic teams and three World Championship teams. He was also involved in the family hockey stick business and is the father of 1980 Olympic gold medalist, Dave Christian.
