Biography

Donald Fraser was a pairs figure skater who skated with Candy Jones, whom he later married. They were Canadian pair champions in 1975-76, and competed at the 1975-76 World Championships and the 1976 Winter Olympics, with a best finish of 11th at the 1975 Worlds. The couple settled in northern Vermont, where his wife practiced family medicine at the University of Vermont. Donald had a woodworking and furniture business, Glassy Woods Furniture. The couple had two sons, Jesse and Matthew. In 2016-18, Mat Fraser won the Cross-Fit World Games, a competition for fitness which proclaims him the world’s fittest man.
