Austrian siblings Peter and Susi Handschmann were ice dancers who participated in the 1976 Innsbruck and 1980 Lake Placid Winter Olympics. The pair could not finish the competition in 1976 and placed 11th at Lake Placid. Both won the Austrian national title six years in succession from 1975-80. They also participated in the World Championships 1976-79, and the Europeans 1975-80.
Peter Handschmann later studied artificial painting and painted pictures in which he placed impressionist and expressionist stylistic elements next to each other to take on almost surrealistic traits.
