Quincey Daniels was 1959 AAU lightweight champion and Golden Gloves champion of the Western Regional in 1959 and 1960. At the 1963 Pan American Games he won again bronze in the light-welterweight class. He turned professional several years after the Olympics, but had only moderate success.
