Raimund Hilger was an ice hockey forward who competed at two Winter Olympics with the German teams in 1992 at Albertville, and 1994 at Lillehammer. In total, he won 115 international caps, scored 23 goals, and played in six World Championships from 1990-95. He was inducted into the German Hockey Hall of Fame in 2009.
Domestically, Hilger played with SB Rosenheim (1983-85, 1986-92, 1994-97, 1998-2000, 2004-11), winning the German title with them in 1985 and 1989. He also played for ESV Bayreuth (1985-86), EC Hedos München (1992-94), who were German champions in 1994, EC Bad Tölz (1997-98), and München Barons (2000-01). He later took over his father’s butchery business.
