George Hill competed in singles, pairs, and dance. Partnering with Maribel Vinson he was US Pairs Champion in 1933 and 1935-37. In singles, he won bronze medals at the 1930-31, 1934, and 1936 US Championships. Hill won the US Ice Dance title twice, in 1930 and 1932, with Clara Frothingham, before it was an official championship. Hill competed at the 1931 World Championships in singles, placing 11th.
