Craig Janney played college hockey at Boston College, after representing the US at the 1986 World Junior Championships. Janney was drafted by the Boston Bruins in the first round of the 1986 NHL entry draft. He would play for 12 years in the NHL, starting out with the Bruins, and playing later for the St. Louis Blues, San Jose Sharks, Winnipeg Jets, Phoenix Coyotes, Tampa Bay Lightning, and finishing with a final year with the New York Islanders. During his career he played in 760 games, scoring 188 goals and 751 points. Internationally Janney played for the United States at the 1988 Winter Olympics, the 1987 and 1994 World Championships, and the 1992 Canada Cup. He later became a hockey announcer on NESN (New England Sports Network) mostly covering college hockey.
