Austrian ice hockey forward Rudolf König, brother of Walter König, participated in three editions of Olympic Winter Olympics: 1976 at Innsbruck, 1984 at Sarajevo, and 1988 at Calgary. The Austrian teams did not advance the final rounds in any of those Games. In total, König won 158 international caps and scored 105 goals and 78 assists.
Rudolf König played domestically with Klagenfurter AC and won national titles in 1974, 1976-77, 1979-80, and 1985-88. He then moved to EC Graz. His son Christoph also became an ice hockey professional.
