Biography

Henri Henneberg placed second in the professional sprint at the 1894 Swiss Championship and then won that event for four consecutive years – 1896-99. Henneberg became a doctor, graduating in 1903 and specializing in obstetrics and gynecology in Genève. He also competed in automobile racing, driving a Rochet-Schneider in many races, and joining the Swiss Touring Club in 1897, a year after its founding, and he helped to develop the club. In 1925 he was elected president of the club, a position he held for seventeen years. He also became president of the International Touring Alliance, an association of all Touring Clubs.
